New roofing FAQs

How long does a new roof take?

An average house roof usually takes one to two weeks, depending on size, weather and any timber repairs. We’ll give you a clear timescale when we quote.

Do I need planning permission for a new roof?

Replacing like-for-like usually doesn’t need planning permission, but listed buildings, conservation areas and changes to the roof’s shape or materials may do. Building regulations may apply too. We’ll advise you before work starts.

Slate or tile: which is best?

Natural slate is extremely long-lasting and suits many period homes. Clay tiles are traditional and attractive. Concrete tiles are strong and cost-effective. We’ll recommend what suits your home and budget.

Is a new roof guaranteed?

Yes. A 25-year written guarantee comes with all our roofs.

How much does a new roof cost in Lincoln?

We give a free, detailed written quote after surveying the roof. Our prices are always fair and reasonable.
